Success for Sevenoaks at British Championships

Two Sevenoaks Swimming Club swimmers competed at the recent 2024 British Swimming Championships. Albert Branch, 18, qualified for 100m and 200m Fly and Imogen Myles, 14, was one of the youngest qualifiers for 100m and 200 Breaststroke.

Albert secured personal best times for both races and a massive improvement in his national rankings. Imogen had a strong 100m swim and secured an impressive 3rd place for the 200m breaststroke, racing in the same heats as team GB breaststrokers such as Kara Hanlon and Imogen Clark. Imogen’s 200m time was also a new Club, County and Regional Age Group Record.

The Club is also delighted and so proud of Eva Okaro’s selection to the GB Olympic Games team in Paris this Summer. Eva was a member of Sevenoaks club for over six years coached firstly by Vince Norris and then Keiron Piper, and won multiple county, regional and national championships and records, as well as competing and medalling for GB at three European Junior Championships.

Sacha Djerfi, Head Coach said ‘I am immensely proud of the successes achieved by Albert and Imogen, and delighted that Eva, whom the club supported for so many years is now representing GB’.
