Healthy recipes with Magdalena – Overnight Oats with Matcha

Consuming Matcha may offer protective benefits to the organs responsible for detoxification, such as the liver. Matcha could help your liver function optimally to eliminate harmful toxins and heavy metals. Additionally, this breakfast recipe is high in protein and fibre, and when combined with peanut butter, makes for an excellent and nutritious meal to kick-start your day.

Ingredients:
• ⅔ cup oats
• ⅔ cup plain soy or coconut yogurt
• ⅔ cup plant-based milk (ie. oat milk)
• 2 teaspoons matcha powder
• 2 teaspoons chia seeds
• 2 teaspoons agave nectar or honey
• 1 teaspoon of stevia and erithritol blend to sweeten

How to make it:

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and whisk them together thoroughly.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Refrigerate for at least five hours, ideally overnight, before consumption.
  3. Before serving, give the mixture a good stir and add your desired toppings such as granola, pistachios, peanut butter, sliced banana, fresh blueberries or honey/agave nectar.
