Where will the final placings be for our West Kent teams?

Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club have been enduring a somewhat mediocre season, as their push for Kent Premier glory looks likely to remain for another year.

They are currently 14 games in, with seven wins and seven losses, and although they seem to have enought to stave off relegation, another two wins would definitely help the situation.

Sevenoaks Vine and Holmesdale’s competition in the Championship looks likely to go into the final few matches, separated by just a point after 14 games. Their hurdles above them are the ever-impressive Bromley, and old foe Whitstable. Both clubs will meet each other on Saturday 31st August at The Vine, for the local spoils after Sevenoaks beat Holmesdale back in June.

Meanwhile Linden Park look likely to be relegated after just one win all season leaving them at the bottom of the pile.

Kings Hill will give it one last push as they try to steal away the Division One title Bromely Common and Folkestone, whilst Cowdrey will be looking at results below them in Division Three, and hope to keep clubs at arms length.

Tonbridge Cricket Club are currently sitting in fourth place in Division 5 Hurricane, and will do well to seek that automatic promotion spot. New Ash Green top Division 8 Knott, wehere they should stay for the foresseable future, and Snodland Community, much like Tonbridge, will look for a late push for promotion from Division 10 Knott.

Edenbridge, who compete over in the Sussex Cricket League, have a another wonderful opportunity for promotion from Division 6 Central after narrowly missing out by just five points last term. They are currently three points off Palmers in second, and eight points off Balcombe at the top of the table. Balcombe and Palmers still need to play eachother, so all is up for grabs.

Into the Kent County Village League we go which hosts 32 West Kent Clubs across eight divisions.

In Division One, Farningham, Shoreham & Otford, and Four Elms are all within reach of league leaders Outwood, the last four games will be iunteresting to watch. Division Two see’s Horton Kirby leading the pack in a three-horse race for the title, whilst Horsmonden, Ightham, and Kemsing are all looking to light up their season, with just five points separating them at the top.
