Halloween Day in Thanet proved a treat for new-look Sevenoaks Town as they claimed successive back-to back Pitching In Isthmian League South East away wins.
The upturn in form is timely ahead of a busy November with the squad continuing to evolve as boss Harry Hudson battles against a long injury list.
Oaks bounced back from an indifferent start after TJ Jadama thumped the home side in front after five minutes to lead 2-1 at the break with goals by Freddie Parker and skipper Bradley Wilson in the space of only two minutes on a warm and sunny day – more like summer than late October.
Parker created the space to finish well and level things up, before Wilson struck a direct free-kick inside the near post.
New signing Josh Bohui added a third, only four minutes after coming off the bench to replace fellow debutant Ben Cheklit.
Put in by Parker, he shrugged off a challenge on the halfway line, before a pacy run to score inside the far post.
Rams’ Ashley Miller punished a defensive mistake to add the hosts second with six minutes remaining.
However Wilson capped a good afternoon two minutes later, his deep corner nodded across goal by Lexus Beeden for Joe Bingham to head in the fourth – completing a winning start to his latest spell at the club.
Oaks survived two more anxious moments late on – Miller hitting a post, while defender Matt Weaire’s clearance bounced back of the woodwork.
