Sevenoaks Swimming Club was delighted with the club’s recent achievements at the Aquatics GB, and English and Scottish Nationals Summer Long Course Championships held during July and August. Fantastic racing from the 18 qualifiers across the British, English and Scottish National meets secured the club 13 finalists, resulting in two gold medals, two silvers, one bronze, one County and one Regional record.
British Championship medalist, Imogen Myles won silver for 200 breaststroke, securing a new long course South East regional and Kent County record. English National Championships medalists were Albert Branch, Silver (200m Fly) and Scarlett Davie who won two Golds (100m/200m breaststroke) and Bronze for 50m breaststroke. Esmee Stanley qualified for the Swim England Open Water National Age Group Championships, swimming 7.5K and securing 18th place.
Head Coach Sacha Djerfi said: “I am so proud of all the swimmers who qualified and congratulations to the finalists and medalists. Following our club successes, I’m thrilled to announce that six of our swimmers have been selected for County, Regional and National Swimming Development Programmes. This is a great achievement for the young swimmers and the club.”
The Swim England Development Pathway selections are Swim England National Youth: Imogen Myles; Swim England National Age: Tom Ellershaw and Lola Bowra; South East Regional: Jessica Evans and Oliver Ratchford; and Kent County: Dane Rawkins.
