Sevenoaks set for explosive weekend of sports action!

Sevenoaks Town FC are already guaranteed promotion to the Bostik League, after a last minute Billy Bennett goal gave them the win over Corinthian FC on Tuesday evening. They now have the opportunity to secure the Southern Counties East Premier Division title with away matches at Erith Town (3.00pm) and Crowborough Athletic (7.45pm) on Saturday and Monday respectively.

Just one more win, or a loss by Whitstable Town FC in second place, will see them crowned league champions after a very long campaign, where they have only lost four games all season.

Manager Micky Collins and first team captain Corey Holder, will be hoping to get the job done as soon as possible. You can follow the club and results on Twitter at @SevenoaksTownFC.

On the other side of town, the Sevenoaks Suns have been kicking up a storm in the Womens British Basketball League (WBBL), achieving their own sporting greatness with an 18-1 record to date, topping the championship table. However they travel to Manchester on Saturday to face the Mystics in their final league game of the season and a win will give them an historic first ever Championship title. The game starts at 7.15pm.

Head Coach Len Busch will be keeping his composure as always, with captain Cat Carr looking for another all-round performance to finish the season in style. You can follow the club and results on Twitter at @SevenoaksSuns.

And last, but by no means least, Sevenoaks Hockey Club Men’s first XI are back in action in the promotion/relegation playoffs, this weekend coming from Birmingham University. After defeating Oxted last weekend they kick off proceedings on Saturday at 12.00pm versus the University of Exeter before finishing their league campaign against the University of Nottingham on Sunday at 11.00am.

Manager Pete Barker and his team captain Tim Warrington have enjoyed their season in the National Premier League and are not going to give it up lightly. Expect some explosive play from the purple army! You can follow the club and results on Twitter at @SevenoaksHC.

Good luck to you all! We hope to be toasting all of your success over the weekend!
