Sevenoaks Hockey Club women’s 2s are through to National League

Sevenoaks Hockey Club’s women’s 2s are through to the National League system after securing the South East Hockey League Premier Division title by two points from Guildford 2s.

On the last day of the season they beat Burnt Ash of Bexley 11-1 with a hattrick of goals scored by Caitlin Calverley.

The team will now play in the National League Women’s Conference East Division alongside Hampstead & Westminster 2s, Old Loughtonians, Old Georgians, Teddington, and Spencer.
This also means that Sevenoaks Hockey Club now have three teams at National level, quite an achievement for the Holly Bush Lane side. Congratulations.

Elsewhere in the women’s game, HC Knole Park celebrated a double title winning season as their 1s and 2s won the South East Women’s Division 1 West and Division 4 Invicta respectively. The 2s will now play Sevenoaks 6s and Tunbridge Wells 4s next year.

K Sports meanwhile were promoted out of Division 3 Invicta and will meet Edenbrdge, Tunbridge Wells 3s and Sevenoaks 5s next season.

As we have reported, Tunbridge Wells men’s 1s are also into the National League Men’s Conference East Division after lifting the South East Hockey League Premier Division title in March.

In a season where there were no relegations for West Kent sides, the only other mover was Tunbridge Wells 6th Hoppers who now find themselves in Division 8 Invicta with Sevenoaks 9s and K Sports 3rd.
