Sevenoaks Dementia Run – race marshals wanted

Sevenoaks District Council and Sevenoaks Area Dementia Friendly Community are organising a fundraising event called ‘Run, walk or push against dementia’ in Knole Park on Sunday 14 May, on behalf of the Sevenoaks Community Dementia Friendly Forum.  There is a 10k, 5k, 3k run or walk suitable for most people. We have over 400 people signed up who are donating to run which is fantastic.

This event has been organised to raise awareness of dementia and, most importantly, raise money to help local organisations support people with dementia and their families. With 400 participants signed up for this event, we anticipate it will be a busy, but enjoyable morning.

We urgently need help from people who can support this event as a race marshal.   You will be placed around the course to guide people on the right route or at a water station. It will take approx. three hours of your Sunday morning, you will get race marshal training and be part of something special.  The sun will shine, I promise!

We really hope that you can help us to help those living with Dementia in Kent, you will be warmly welcomed.
