Sevenoaks Swimming Club were delighted to be able to host their Club Championships for swimmers in October. For the first time since 2019, swimmers were able to participate in the Club’s own Championship competition. Swimmers aged 7 and up took part with the Club holding a 25 metre festival (with 25 metre races) for the youngest swimmers to experience a fun and friendly competition, some for the very first time.
The older swimmers were able to compete in the different strokes and distances, from 50 to 400 metres and this will continue later in the year for the 800 and 1500 metre freestyle races.
The Gala Secretary, James Martin-Young says: “It was fantastic to once again be able to hold the Club Championships and involve so many swimmers. We thank everyone involved including coaches, officials and volunteers, in making this happen.”
The Club celebrates achievements from the Championships and other racing at its annual Club Awards night which is scheduled for February 2022.
