New world for Tunbridge Wells as the hockey season is set to start!

Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club’s Men’s 1s are about to embark into a journey of the unknown as they start their new season in the National League for the first time.

Winners of the South East Hockey Premier Division last season, Tunbridge Wells were promoted to the England Hockey Men’s Conference East, and they will face the likes of Guildford’s first team, and the 2nd teams of Hampstead & Westminster, Surbiton, and Wimbledon.

Also taking in a new world this year will be Sevenoaks Hockey Club’s women’s 2s who secured promotion to the England Hockey Women’s Conference East Division alongside Hampstead & Westminster 2s, Old Loughtonians, Old Georgians, Teddington, and Spencer.
This also means that Sevenoaks Hockey Club now have three teams at National level, quite an achievement for the Holly Bush Lane side.

Elsewhere in the women’s game, HC Knole Park will also be competing at a higher level after a winning season for both their 1s and 2s, having won the South East Women’s Division 1 West and Division 4 Invicta respectively. The 2s will now play Sevenoaks 6s and Tunbridge Wells 4s this year, whilst their 1s will travel to the likes of Brighton & Hove, Eastbourne, Epsom, Oxted, and Woking in the South East Premier Division.

Good luck to all West Kent clubs for the forthcoming season. We know you will all give it your best shot!
