New season beckons as Oaks and Juddians reignite the fire

England Rugby’s National 2 East will get underway once again on Saturday 3rd September to grand applause from both supporters of Sevenoaks RFC and Tonbridge Juddians.

Last season saw both teams secure their places back in the prestigious league for another year, although Tonbridge made it look a lot easier as they finished in midtable whilst Sevenoaks took it to the end of the season with a long drawn out relegation battle.

Between the two of them, Tonbridge came out on top both home and away. They won the away fixture in December 5-17, then triumphed at home by 22 points to six. That was last year though, and September will be the dawning of a new season, where both teams will have a clean slate going into the competition.

And with the addition of local rivals Westcombe Park joining the party, it could be a quite explosive experience.

The 2023/24 fixture schedule will see Tonbridge host Sevenoaks on Saturday 14th October with the return fixture at Knole Paddock in Sevenoaks on Saturday 17th February. Both clubs will also have the pleasure of travelling to Guernsey once again, with Sevenoaks going on Saturday 9th September and Tonbridge on Saturday 13th January.

West Kent Sport & Wellbeing will be keeping a close eye on all the action as it happens thoughout the season.
