Knole Park Women’s 1st record 18-0 win at Herne Bay

HC Knole Park’s Women’s 1st Team were back in action on Saturday as the team travelled down to Herne Bay. England stars Lottie Bingham and Anna Faulstich were on top form as they scored seven and four goals respectively in the 18-0 win. Evie Smith scored two goals on her 1st team debut, and Boadicea Cannon, Amelie Allen, Sasha Kelbrick, Phoebe Gough-Cooper & Charlotte Smith all scored one. This moves Knole Park up to third in the table. Next week they face Surbiton in the EH Cup, before the league restarts the following week against Bromley & Beckenham who sit one spot above them in the league.

HC Knole Park’s Men’s 1st Team suffered their second defeat in as many weeks as they faced a very good University of Kent 1st team. Duncan Parnis opened the scoring with a penalty corner before the university side levelled just before half-time. Knole Park came out flying in the second half as Benedict Cannon and Isaac Dale both scored fantastic goals to give KP a 3-1 lead. However, this seemed to spur the University of Kent on, and they scored five unanswered goals to take the lead. Parnis did manage to score one more penalty corner to make the final few moments more interesting however it finished 6-4 to the University of Kent.

HC Knole Park’s U16A Girls won 9-1 against Brighton & Hove on Sunday in the South-East Premier League. Six goals from England U16 star Olivia Breed, as well as two from Lottie Bingham and one from Anna Faulstich meant that Knole Park move top of the league after three matches.

HC Knole Park’s U16B Girls were also in action against Marden Russets HC. In a superb first half the girls stormed into a 3-0 lead with Celia Foster scoring twice and Biba Mills adding a third. The second half was a stalemate, so the match finished 3-0 to Knole Park. A great performance from all the girls.

HC Knole Park’s U14A Boys played their first South-East Premier League matches on Sunday. In the first match they played Brighton & Hove. In a superb performance Isaac Dale scored a great hat-trick and Mack Copp also netted in the 4-1 victory. In match two the team played Canterbury in part two of this season’s trilogy! Canterbury were superb from start to finish in a resounding 9-3 defeat of Knole Park. Goals from Isaac Dale, Mack Copp and Benedict Cannon were not enough this time round. Round three is in November!
