Kings Hill FC Women’s First Team and London Road Women are excited to announce their merger, forming two newly structured women’s teams under the Kings Hill FC banner. This strategic collaboration aims to strengthen women’s football in the region, providing enhanced opportunities for players at all levels and fostering long-term development.
With the unification of these two clubs, the new setup will see a first team competing in the South East Counties Premier Division while a second team provides a strong pathway for emerging talent. The move is expected to create a more competitive and sustainable women’s football environment, benefiting both current players and the next generation of female footballers.
Kings Hill FC Chairman Andrew Boxer expressed his enthusiasm for the merger, stating:
“This is a hugely exciting moment for women’s football at Kings Hill. By bringing together two well-established teams, we are creating a structure that offers greater opportunities for players to develop and thrive. We’re confident that this merger will not only improve the standard of football but also help grow the women’s game at Kings Hill FC.”
London Road Women’s Manager Clinton Lees echoed this sentiment, highlighting the benefits for both clubs: “We’ve built something special at London Road, and this merger ensures that our players have the best possible platform and facilities to progress. Combining our resources and talent pools with Kings Hill FC means we can provide a stronger, more competitive environment while maintaining the inclusive and community-driven ethos that both clubs value.”
The newly formed teams will begin competing under the Kings Hill FC name from the start of next season, with trials and training sessions set to be announced in the coming weeks.
