Kemsing United celebrate centenary year in style with new one-off kits

Kemsing United Football Club are celebrating their centenary year this season with a carnival of events throughout.
In this day and age with the wide variety of social media platforms available it is easy for people to find alternative activities to enjoy on their weekend other than sport. Opportunities as such has led to the unfortunate folding of local rivals Seal and Potters recently.

With other sides voicing similar concerns regarding retaining and recruiting players, it was not only decided that Kemsing would celebrate their centenary in style, but along with their social media platforms, it would be used to have a big push on recruitment so they hopefully won’t find themselves in that situation any time soon.

Kemsing United were formed in 1923 and play their home games at The Common Field at the far end of the village. They have enjoyed success in recent seasons picking up the Sevenoaks & District League Division One title in 2015 and 2017, the Fisher Shield and the Smiths Cup in 2015 and pride themselves on being a side that is tough to take points off both at home or away.

They have started their centennial campaign with the recent announcement of the new first team management duo of Pat Langford and Mike Daines. This was quickly followed by the announcement of their one-off centennial kits which accommodate a gold version of their regular badge along with gold print and the players’ names on the back of the shirt – a keepsake for each player come the end of the season.

With various social events planned throughout the season for the Saturday sides and the newly formed Sunday side, the season will be completed with their inaugural ‘Kemsing United tournament’ and a large awards dinner, complete with entertainment and DJ.

Kemsing United are always on the lookout for committed, good quality players. If this may be of interest to you please contact the club via their social media accounts on either Instagram or Facebook, simply search Kemsing United.
