Kemsing Cricket Club is delighted to announce the official opening of its brand-new cricket nets on Sunday, 27th April 2025 at 2.00pm. The grand opening event will take place at the club’s ground The Sir Mark Collet Pavilion on Heaverham Road and will mark a major milestone in the club’s ongoing commitment to investing in local sport and the development of cricket in the community.
The new nets have been made possible thanks to a combination of fundraising efforts, generous community support, and funding contributions from local sponsors. Designed to provide a high-quality, safe environment for training, the facility will be a game-changer for players of all ages and abilities.
Club Chairman Colin Scarsi commented: “We’re incredibly proud to unveil this fantastic new facility. The nets will provide a vital space for our teams to develop their skills, for juniors to take their first steps in cricket, and for the wider community to get involved in the sport we love. It’s a real boost for the club and for cricket in Kemsing.”
The fun launch event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a junior exhibition cricket match and senior net sessions with representatives from the Kent women’s team. There are refreshments for all attendees. Local residents and supporters are warmly invited to attend and celebrate this exciting development.
