HC Knole Park celebrate two titles as Tunbridge Wells look at a treble

Knole Park Hockey Club’s ladies 1s and 2s are celebrating after both sides have successfully clinched their respective divisional titles with a handful of games still to go in the season.

Last weekend, the 2s were crowned champions of the South East Hockey League Women’s Division 5 Invicta and they were joined this weekend by their first team who won Division 1 Invicta.

Both teams have now won back-to-back league titles and next season will see their 1s compete in Division 1 East, possibly alongside Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club and Sevenoaks Hockey Club’s 3rd team and their Acorns side.

Elsewhere in the women’s hockey structure, Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club’s 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams are also looking for titles of their own, with the 2nd and 3rd already guaranteed promotion from Division 2 Invicta and Division 3 Invicta respectively. The 4th team currently sit top of Division 4 Invicta, and a win at home versus Bromley & Beckenham 4th this Saturday would also see them guaranteed promotion.

In the men’s side of the South East Hockey League, K Sports sit on top of Division 2 Invicta with just three games to go, with Knole Park top of Division 3 Invicta. Both leagues could see the teams competing until the final day of the season.

The story in England Hockey’s Division One South for both the women and the men, see’s two Sevenoaks sides pushing their opponents with three games to go. Sevenoaks’ ladies are more than likely to finish in second place should they win their final matches whilst the men, currently in fifth place, could see a one place movement either up or down depending on results.
