Chipstead FC raising money for Hospice in the Weald

On Sunday 16 July, Chipstead Football Club hosted the Sarah Reeves Memorial Trophy Junior Tournament for U7s to U11s to raise money for The Hospice in the Weald.  The event was kindly sponsored by Sanlam UK and was held in the memory of Sarah Reeves, who sadly passed away earlier this year.  Sarah’s son Ryan is a Chipstead Coach.  Sarah was also a teaching Assistant at the local Riverhead Infants School.

Bojangles Cafe in Dunton Green were in attendance to supply everyone with refreshments alongside Harvey’s Ice Creams from Maidstone. Tower Sports in Otford kindly sponsored the raffle supplying prizes and the football club provided the trophies and medals.  We would also like to thank Carlos from Knole Academy for donating the use of the facilities on the day.

Over 75 children took part and each year group played a round of group stages before progressing to semi-finals and finals.  The U7 Section was won by Liverpool, the U9s by Germany and the U11s by Juventus (see photo attached from L-R Harry Briggs, Jack Lennon, Ben Forrester, Thomas Davies, Zachary Chambers & Seb Spearpoint).

The club would like to thank all the parents and helpers who generously gave up their time to help this event run smoothly.  We are hoping it will become an annual event !
