Sevenoaks Town announce arrival of Marcel Nimani as their new Manager

A week after accepting the resignation of former manager Mark Dacey, Sevenoaks Town Football Club have today, after a series of mid-week interviews, revealed his replacement, Marcel Nimani.

Marcel and his assistant manager Craig Coles have both joined Sevenoaks Town with immediate effect after an 18-month spell in charge at Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division side Whitstable Town, where they won close to 52% of their 69 games.

Marcel spoke exclusively to West Kent Sport & Wellbeing magazine telling them: “I am ecstatic to join Sevenoaks Town FC as the first team manager.

“From the interview, and after hearing the boards three-year plan, it became clear to me that this is the right club and the right project for us as a management team.

“We were therefore thrilled when the board decided to offer us the role.”

All change at Sevenoaks Town
Marcel and Craig will have to hit the ground running after all first team players have been let go by the club since the end of last season, with Goalkeeping coach Julian Leigh the only member of staff to remain in his post.

The step up also means it will be Marcel’s first time managing in the Isthmian Football League South East Division.

This really represents a fresh start for the club that celebrated it’s annual Awards Day on Saturday 8th June with over 1,000 players, coaches, parents, guardians, friends, family and dogs present.

Sevenoaks Town are one of the largest grassroots clubs in Kent with 48 junior teams, four adult teams, three Powerchair teams and over 200 volunteers.

We wish Marcel and Craig all the best as they begin their Sevenoaks journey, and we look forward to their first pre-season matches of the year, due to start at the end of June.
