Kings Hill Women’s 1st XI will return to the South East Counties Women’s Football League Division One next season after being condemed to relegation by local rivals Tunbridge Wells Foresters in a 4-1 loss.
Katie Allen, Olivia Carter (2), and substitute Rebecca Janes converted for Foresters to ensure their safety for another seaosn in the Premier Division.
Clair Gooderham managed a consolation goal for Kings Hill but it was not enough to secure them top flight status just 12 months after winning the Kent West Division One title.
Elsewhere Tonbridge Angels, who were runners up to Kings Hill last year, cemeted their place in the top flight with an emphatic 4-1 win over tough opponents Cray Wanderers. The win puts them in second place with just one match to go.
Sevenoaks Town are of course already champions and they will now get ready for life in Division 1 South of the London & South East Regional Women’s Football League, with their final matchaway at Tonbridge on Sunday 6th April. A fitting finale to a great season for both clubs.
